We believe that supporting teachers and leaders in their professional learning leads to improved outcomes for learners.
Good quality professional learning and reflective practice are essential parts of a teacher’s professional life. We offer a number of different professional learning opportunities for teachers according to their experience and needs.
A range of training and support is available to help teachers plan and deliver the SACE program. Teachers have access to direct support from the SACE Board and to a number of professional development opportunities.

All accredited SACEi schools attend and participate in an annual calendar of professional learning activities that are delivered both online and in-country.
We structure our support and provide dedicated workshops for:
- school leaders
- teachers
- school administrators
The SACE International team works closely with our school partners to identify areas where support would be the most beneficial and identify the best dates for training.
All accredited SACE schools have access to the SACE Board's online professional learning platform, Professional Learning in Assessment and Teaching Online (PLATO).
Teachers can access a range of PLATO courses designed to help build their confidence in delivering the SACE.
A range of online courses have been developed to support schools and teachers new to delivering the SACE. They have been designed to share all the essential knowledge required before starting the delivery of the SACE program.
These are:
New SACE Coordinators Semester 1
This course is designed to support new SACE coordinators and leaders in navigating their way through key policies and processes.
New SACE Coordinators Semester 2
This course is designed to support new SACE coordinators and leaders in navigating their way through key policies and processes - with a particular focus on end of year procedures.
Teachers New to the SACE
This course introduces everything a teacher needs to know as they prepare to teach the SACE. Full guidance is provided on how and where to find information and resources.
New Users - Welcome to PLATO
This course is designed to support new user to PLATO by providing a brief introduction to the application and an overview of the activities and navigation.
This program consists of seven online courses and provides teachers who are new to SACE International with a range of resources, and guidelines on how and where to find the information they need to successfully deliver the SACE in their school.
This program consists of three online courses and provides principals and their delegates with information on their roles and responsibilities, and the operational requirements for delivering the SACE in SACE International schools.
