Study in Australia

There are 43 universities in Australia and they all accept the SACE.

Students can also pursue Australian qualifications in their home country through distance education, offshore campuses, and established articulation pathways, providing flexible access to Australian courses for those who prefer, or need, to study closer to home.

International students choosing an Australian education have opportunities across all study disciplines.

Australian institutions offer a wide range of courses – from science to management and commerce, humanities to engineering, and law to health sciences.

How International students apply to university

Students who complete their program within the Southern Hemisphere timetable and wish to apply to a university in Australia must submit their application through the relevant state tertiary admission centre.

For students graduating within the SACE Northern Hemisphere assessment cycle, with the exception of NSW and ACT, applications should be submitted directly to the university.

International students must apply through a registered agent (although there may be some exceptions). Each university's website provides a list of approved agents.

Below are links to each tertiary admission centre's website and their guidance for international students and key dates.

The South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre is an organisation that processes applications for admission to tertiary education courses, at institutions in South Australia and the Northern Territory
