Overview
Our business and technology subjects teach students essential skills for the business world, and for future careers in finance, technology and engineering.
Students learn finance skills, creative problem solving, and the design and innovation process.
The following subjects are available:
Accounting students learn to analyse, evaluate and communicate financial information. They develop skills in critical thinking, problem solving and how to present accounting advice
Pathways and careers can include university studies in accounting and work as a financial controller, in financial planning and auditing.
Students learn how to develop solutions to complex, real-world problems in business. Learners develop skills in critical and creative thinking.
Pathways and careers could include a range of business fields, and work in start-up and existing businesses.
This subject teaches students to engineer solutions for the development of products or systems. They learn how to use technology to address design issues.
The four subject areas are: digital communication solutions, industry and entrepreneurial solutions, material solutions, and robotic and electronic systems.
In this subject, students learn to use real-world data to create innovative solutions to problems. They identify trends and look at solutions for issues in business, industry, the environment or the community.
This subject teaches students to solve computer information processing issues. They learn to use computer hardware and software to process, manage and communicate information.
