Electronic Examinations

In 2018, the SACE Board was the first organisation in the world to implement electronic examinations (e-exams) for senior secondary school exams, setting a precedent in modernising assessment methods. External assessment accounts for 30% of all Stage 2 subjects and with some subjects there is a E-exam.

E-exams reflect the increasing integration of technology into students' studies and offer a contemporary and authentic examination experience. To ensure smooth implementation and operation of e-exams in schools, we provide the E-exams Readiness Toolkit. This toolkit equips schools with the necessary technical and operational resources to prepare for e-exams effectively.

Use this toolkit to make sure your school is technically and operationally ready for e-exams.

To learn why we've introduced e-exams and which subjects have them, see Electronic examinations.

To gain hands-on experience and understand the mechanics of the e-exam system, schools can access a demo e-exam and instructional resources in the Preparing for an exam section.
