Site Visit

Step 3. We carry out a site visit

The site visit serves as an opportunity to examine the evidence supporting the information provided in your Application Form. This visit, conducted either virtually or face-to-face by SACE Board representatives, is not geared towards identifying a single ‘right answer.’ We acknowledge the diverse forms of SACE schools and recognise their shared commitment to delivering excellent education.

Prior to the site visit, we require additional information to confirm your school’s suitability for delivering the SACE.

At this stage, we ask for:

  • Details outlining how the introduction and integration of SACE will unfold within the school, including the supporting mechanisms.
  • Evidence showcasing your teachers' comprehension of SACE delivery, accompanied by specifics on your planned professional development and support initiatives for teachers.

During the site visit, we want to build a picture of your school, including your goals, educational ethos and curriculum, and to ensure that there is a strong alignment with the SACE to enable a successful implementation.

After the site visit

After the site visit. a recommendation is made to the SACE Board’s Chief Executive

There are three categories:

  • Accredited
  • Accredited with conditions
  • Not ready to join SACE.

If accredited to become a SACE International school, we will aim to form an agreement within 30 working days of the site visit.
