Accreditation Meeting and Site Visit

As part of the accreditation process, we conduct an accreditation meeting and a site visit to review and validate the information provided in your Application Form.

The site visit—conducted either virtually or in person by SACE Board representatives—provides an opportunity to examine the evidence supporting your application. This is not about finding a single ‘right answer’; we recognise and value the diversity of SACE schools and their shared commitment to delivering high-quality education.

Before the site visit, you will be asked to provide additional information to help confirm your school’s readiness to deliver the SACE. You will be asked to include:

  • Details outlining how the introduction and integration of the SACE will unfold within your school, including the supporting mechanisms in place
  • Evidence of your teachers’ understanding of SACE delivery, along with details of your planned professional development and teacher support initiatives

During the site visit, we aim to build a comprehensive picture of your school—its goals, educational ethos, and curriculum—and assess how well these align with the SACE to support a successful implementation.

After the site visit, a recommendation is made to the SACE Board’s Chief Executive. There are three possible outcomes:

  • Accredited
  • Accredited with conditions
  • Not ready to join SACE

If your school is accredited to become a SACE International school, we aim to finalise an agreement within 30 working days of the site visit.
