Building on the expertise and experience of our continuing schools, in 2026, the Capabilities within the SACE - Feasibility Program will include a small number of additional schools to help ensure that it is feasible across a diverse representation of schools and cohorts. 

Consistent with the Board’s belief in the power of partnerships and its commitment to co-design, the program will be enriched by the learnings and experience of students, teachers and leaders from across SA and NT. 

By participating in the Feasibility Program schools, teachers, and students will explore how capabilities can be recognised, assessed, and valued within the SACE. The program focuses on building teacher confidence and capability assessment literacy, and providing students with early, meaningful insights into their personal capabilities. 

The SACE Board invites your school to express interest in participating in 2026. 

Expressions of interest  

1. Review the Feasibility Program Terms of Reference [PDF 220KB] including:
   1. SACE Board criteria to select schools
   2. Participation expectations and the level of commitment required to take part
2. Discuss with your school’s leadership team the level of involvement that students and teachers from your school would like to have
3. Complete and submit an expression of interest form

EOI deadline: 5 pm, Monday 9 February 2026  

We will notify schools of the outcome of their EOI before the end of February. 

If funding is a barrier to school involvement, please still complete the EOI. The SACE Board will, on a case-by-case basis, consider financial support to ensure a wide range of schools and teachers are represented. 

For schools not selected to participate, there will be opportunities for the wider education community to learn more about the program and engage with aspects of it.
