Korean (beginners)

Stage 1 Stage 2 Stage 2 exam

Learning to speak, read, and write a second language will deepen your understanding of another culture and of your own language, thus enriching your life. Korean is the official language of both North Korea and South Korea, although some differences have developed in the years since separation. It is also a minority language in China and Russia. You will study the modern standard version of Korean, including casual, informal, and formal language. Competency in this language will give you the option to pursue careers in interpreting, translation, education, and health both in Australia and overseas. Stage 1 and Stage 2 Korean at beginners level is available to students who have not studied Korean before.
