Public consultation
Subject Renewal is helping shape the future of the SACE to ensure it remains a modern, responsive qualification that prepares young people for a changing world.
The contributions of Subject Renewal Group members and other stakeholders have been critical in shaping the direction of the program and building a strong evidence base for future decision-making. We recognise that this work has required participants to navigate uncertainty, challenge established practices and think differently about curriculum and assessment.
Public consultation provides an opportunity for educators, leaders and other stakeholders to review proposed directions for renewed subjects, contribute their expertise and help ensure renewed subjects are practical, relevant and responsive to the needs of schools, teachers and students.
Feedback gathered through consultation will be carefully reviewed and considered alongside the evidence and insights already collected through Subject Renewal. It will be used to refine and strengthen renewed subjects before they are presented for accreditation.
What happens next?
Once refinements have been made to subject outlines they progress towards accreditation, the formal quality assurance process through which proposed SACE subjects are formally reviewed and approved for use in schools.
Following accreditation, the focus shifts to implementation readiness activities, including professional learning, resource development and support for schools and teachers.
Thank you for contributing your expertise and perspectives as we work together to shape the future of learning in the SACE.
